In my fifth year as a principal, I have been promoted to the role of equity leader. This is a segway into the next role as director of DEI for the same district. In this role, I facilitate professional development around anti-racism and : the inner work" we must do to support system and educational change.I have also worked side by side with colleagues to support them in turnkeying this professional development at their buildings and department level. Additionally, I have consulted at the individual level to support concerns that may happen within a building and how to support staff with difficult conversations where we focus on calling staff in and setting a standard of safety and support in culture change.
